Good cage for ferrets..
Bought this cage second-hand, and while it's not perfect, it's a not a bad cage for ferrets. The lower level is used for litter pans and allows for "accidents" to pass through the bars onto the tray below (I use puppy pee pads). Cleanup is relatively easy and quick. I prefer to not use the included bowl holders because my ferrets were able to knock them out and spill food/water. Bar spacing is more than small enough for ferret usage and most other critters with 1/2" spacing. I custom-cut carpet for the two upper levels to help keep my ferret's feet feeling great.. LOL!! :D In short, yes, there are better cages aimed specifically at ferrets, but at the right price, this isn't a bad option..

- U might be able to but there are wire steps to climb up n down for the animal. I bought this for my 2 ferrets

3rd person to ask this: bar spacing??? A&E doesn’t seem to include this VERY IMPORTANT piece of information on any of their cage descriptions. I’ve gone with other company’s cages in the past simply because I couldn’t find out what the bar spacing was.
- We bought this for our chinchilla. Unfortunately, the bar spacing for the floors are the same as the walls. They are narrow bars with 1/2 inch spacing. It's more like a bird cage with three stories, which would make it terrible for birds due to the height of each floor (12 inches) and the floor is impossible for small animals to walk on. I have no idea what type of animal this would be good for.
