Easy to test your aquarium water
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long time aquarium owner it’s good to know how your water is. This kit has tests ranging from knowing ph balance, nitrate, nitrite levels, ammonia and such.
The kit provides 7 bottles, instructions and some test tubes. Fill the test tube with the appropriate amount of aquarium water and add the appropriate drops for the test. In a few minutes compare it to the chart to see how the sample is. The kit ample amount of liquid for 100s of tests. It’s simple to use as well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a regular fishtank cleaner so this kit worked very well for me. it has test tubes and all the liquids necessary to check ammonia, nitrate, ph etc. it has 800 test capacity so it’s works but I feel it might be expire because I don’t feel this much test can be done in a year. The Instructions and chart are very clear And it’s very easy to use., also it doesn’t cause any mess.

- API does manufacture a test for Copper however it is sold separately from the API Freshwater Master Test kit.

What products will need to be purchased to fix the problems identified. I’m getting this as a gift so I’m not sure what readings would come back so are there designated products that would need to be used to fix different issues?
- This kit is used to check water parameters like pH, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. Aside from the pH, everything is adjusted through water changes. Products I’d recommend would be Seachem Prime, Seachem Stabiity, and a gravel vacuum.

How do I store this product? Does the room temperature matter?
- They need to be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. These chemicals are buffers and indicators and would degrade at other temperatures or in sunlight.

- It says it can do 800 tests

How long does this last?
- 800 test total but 160 if you included each of the 5 tests as 1. You usually should test once a week so 160 weeks so a little over 3 years! This test kit is defintley worth the 33 dollars! Also it expires after 3 years

- Thank you for your question. The test kit will register correctly, however, you will want to wait to test the water 24 hours after the Amquel Plus is added.
