We got this feeder and it has been great! Absolutely love that it is solar powered. We ended up using a thick garden stake to mount the feeder between shrubs in our front yard yard. We also wanted the feeder to be near a window, so that our cat could bird watch but was concerned the birds may take issue with the feeder being 3/4 feet from the house. The birds found the feeder within a day! The feeder survived a few days of rain, with no issues. We haven’t been getting notifications when a leaf moves or when a car drives by, so we ended up turning the notifications off. Otherwise, awesome feeder!

Birdfy Ebony is super easy to set up, if you follow the instructions. I deviated from the instructions, but the support staff was able to get me back on track and set up in a reasonable time. I am now getting daily visits from baby cardinals and some other birds. I really like that I don't have to charge the battery regularly. It's a fun addition to my back yard and would be a great gift. Recommended

Super easy to set up, came pretty much ready to go. Camera was easy to charge and set up in app. I love the way this looks, the wood is more natural looking and much more attractive to me vs other bird feeder cams. The birds found it quickly and I have been loving getting all the notifications about my feathered friends visiting! The camera quality is great, very clear. The solar charging is working (after some adjusting to get the thing facing the correct way) and is nice to not have to disconnect for charging as often. I'd recommend this to anyone curious about feeder cams.

I have had the birdfeeder set up for about a week now and it works great! It is super convenient to have the camera be solar powered, although finding a sunny spot proved to be slighty difficult. I do wish the solar panel was more adjustable so you could put it in more locations (it's only adjustable from side to side, you can't point it forward), but it's also not worth complaining about because you can also manually charge it! The feeder and camera were super easy to set up, it even came with a bracket and paper template for the screw holes. It also looks great!

I purchased the Birdfy Ebony Solar Powered Smart Bird Feeder in late February and received it on March 5th. I have had it up and running since then. I also have another feeder, the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo, in my yard. The Ebony has been placed on a tree in my side yard next to four finch feeders. I was surprised to see that the finches also love this feeder. I have many clear videos of red and yellow finches eating from the Birdfy. The Pros: The feeder is easy to set up. Whether installing on a wall, wood post, or tree, the hardware is easy to use. I installed my Bamboo feeder on a 6x6 deck post. As I mentioned, the Ebony is on a tree. The app and camera are easy to set up. The app walks you through connecting to Wi-Fi. The solar panels keep the camera charged. I have not charged the camera using any other method. The camera is clear and provides good images and videos. If purchased, the AI software used to identify birds is pretty good, though there have been instances where it just says "bird". Keeping the camera lens clean is helpful. Depending on the seed type, residue can get all over the lens. My critiques: Compared to the Bamboo, the Ebony is of lesser quality. The wood should be sealed with a marine varnish to repel water. This was recommended when I bought the Bamboo. The mechanism to open the lid is not the same as the one on the Bamboo. There is a small metal rod that is turned to rest in a notch in the wood. I prefer the latch mechanism on the Bamboo feeder. The gap below the clear barrier between the seed and the wall could be a little wider. The seed I use in both of my birdfy feeders works well with the Bamboo, however, it does not provide enough of an opening for the seed to naturally dispense on the Ebony. Overall I recommend the Birdfy Ebony and the Birdfy company. I have three cameras and purchased one of their pole systems as well.

This is an amazing Bird feeder!!! I am so glad I got this. It's super easy to set up and installation is a breeze. It's been so much fun. I highly recommend this.

Bought this bird feeder for our kids and it’s been a huge hit! We love waking up in the morning and sitting and watching them come eat. The video footage is great and very clear. Would definitely purchase this product again. It was easy to install outside on a pole!

We got this smaller feeder after enjoying our first Birdfy feeder so much! This 2.8L feeder has been preferred by our house finches, and we've only seen nuthatches and titmice on this smaller one. It may be because there's less space on the perch for competition. The whole setup is well thought out. The feed is secured by a simple bar lock attached to the lid, and it's always done its job. Once the solar panel is set up correctly you'll never have to worry about the camera's battery. The automatic motion detection is so helpful, and we'd never have seen all the rarer visitors at our feeders without it. Once the sensitivity on the motion detection is tuned in it's very good. I can't recommend this feeder enough, as it's made bird watching so convenient and fun!
