Solved Vomiting but getting Fat

beckymidwest

my 14# cockapoo was vomiting nightly with another brand. When I switched to Life Protection Formula small Breed Senior Dog she stopped vomiting and was more chipper. However, 6 months later and she has gotten so fat. I feed her 1 cup/day. she doesn't get the exercise in the winter as in the summer so maybe I need to reduce the amount to 3/4 cup/day. I'm worried she will start vomiting again from hunger.

Love blue buffalo! My pup has always been a fan of this brand. Everything I get is always great quality. Never makes her sick and seems to have a good flavor. I only used this when she was little, have changed since she’s grown and gained weight. The price is somewhat high compared to other brands but the quality is worth it. And so is your pup!

I have been my 14 yr old Border Collie Blue life protection her entire life. It was the only food she would eat and tolerate well. She has been eating the senior formula for years. I am thrilled my girl is still happy with Blue and trust Blue. On our 14th year and never ever has there been an issue with the quality of any bag. She is a Blue girl.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Is the 15 lb. bag re-sealable?

  1. No it's not...I wish it did though. I just fold it over and either use a clothes pin or a large office type clip to keep it closed up. According to my boy, Baron, it's good til the last bite!

What is the recommended age to start feeding senior dog food?

  1. I’ve always been told seven years.  L

is this kibble small enough for a senior Yorkie?

  1. Yes. Both of our senior chihuahuas eat this without an issue.
