Mixed review: Caution when purchasing.
I have a mixed review for this bed. The bed seems durable and would have met our needs. However I would caution anyone that uses this bed for a dog that tends to chew up their beds. The fabric on the cover seems to be very long and stringy. Our dog just needed emergency surgery to remove portions of the bed from her stomach and small intestine. Because the material is so long it was one large piece throughout her stomach and intestine which created a blockage. Our dog is not normally a heavy chewer, she has occasionally chewed small portions of her beds in the past. However the fabric on past beds was typically like a chew toy, this bed just seems different. The fabric is different, almost like the long strands you find in carpet. We understand this can happen to any dog with pretty much any bed or item on the floor. We just wanted to provide our experience.

DO NOT BUY.
These are terrible. Not waterproof at all. One small accident went right through BOTH the “waterproof” lining and the black cover. The foam insert is ruined. Such a waste of money.

Really expensive for what it is!
Bought this at Petco store without looking at the price. Realized at home after taking the tag off and placing my very hairy dog on it that it was $80. $80???? For something like this? I would have expected $35-$45. The trouble is that they don't put prices on the item – only on the shelf -- so that if you're not paying attention at the checkout, you are out of luck. I regret the purchase and would not buy it again.

Cheap zipper, so much hair
Bought this less than 2 months ago. My dog chewed the corner near the zipper (of course). Now I can’t get the cover off. The zipper won’t budge. Hair sticks everywhere and it’s impossible to get off.

Not durable, just disappointing
Very disappointed, lasted less than 2 hours with my German Shepherd. By the time I came back from the grocery store he had ripped a hole at the corner seem and had fluff everywhere. $75 immediately in the trash.

What are the care instructions for this? All it says here is machine washable. Do I wash it on delicate? Normal? Can it go in the dryer? If so at what temperature?
- The cover is removable, I wash it with my pup’s blankets, normal (cold) and then tumble dry low.
