Description
Golden Pencilfish are hardy, beautiful, and active fish that bring shimmering golden tones and lively schooling behavior to community aquariums. With the right care, they thrive and show off their best colors! Keep the group size large of 6 to 8 for natural schooling behavior and reduced aggression. Use a gentle filter to prevent strong currents as they prefer calm waters. The Pencilfish thrive in planted aquariums with dense planting with open swimming areas. While, floating plants help diffuse light and make them feel secure. Dark substrate will help enhance. their golden and red coloration. The Pencilfish do best by being fed small portions 2 to 3 times a day with variety of foods. Provide a varied diet of flakes, live and frozen foods.
