Always out of stock

Food great. However out of stock ALOT! Frustrating as my dog is to lbs and when the only bags that are consistently in stock are the 8.5 lb. I might as well feed something else otherwise you spend a fortune. Too bad as the food does work as stated.

My dog had chronic soft stool and intermittent diarrhea, even with fiber and probiotic supplements. Started her on Hills GI Biome diet and all her GI signs cleared up, and no extrasupplements needed anymore! Great product!

Digestive Support for a Sensitive Pup

The Biome Digestive Prescription Diet has been a great solution for our six-year-old pup. She previously experienced a couple of bouts of colitis, but since starting Biome, she hasn’t had any issues. We now mix it in with her regular food, and there have been no episodes of upset stomach at all. It’s made a noticeable difference in her digestive health, and we’re very pleased with the results.

Great product. I like the kibble size, the poops are glorious, and the dogs seem to enjoy it across breed and size. It does have an elevated price point but is very effective

Hills Gastrointestinal Biome prescription food is excellent in controlling our Great Danes issues and providing the nutrition she needs. HOWEVER, your autoship enrollment, ease of use, and live customer service SUCKS!!! They've dbl shipped on 2 occasions and were less than helpful over the phone to stop the 2nd dbl shipment. Then they sent us a really stupid oversized t-shirt, which we can only imagine was supposed to be an apology?, and which we'd never wear! We'll be removing ourselves and using another company ...

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 10 of 13 Questions

Is the size of the kibble suitable for French bulldogs?

  1. The kibble is round and flat, about half the diameter of a penny.  We feed it to our Weimaraners, and they barely chew it at all.  I am not sure what size French Bulldogs need, but it is no bigger than kibble you would feed a small poodle.

My dog has been on canned ID low fat food and has had past pancreatitis.  Want to try Biome canned food to firm up stools more.   Is it low enough fat enough for my dog and will extra fiber be ok?

    1. Yes this was recommended by my vet for my dog with pancreatitis and she has done great on it

Does it comes in small bites? My dog is a 10 pound chihuahua

    1. The bites are small even though there is a German Shepard on the package.  I have an old 16 year old 10 pound dog with a number of teeth missing and a 16 pound 8 year old dog.  Both eat it with no problem. I like to add a tablespoon of the moist (same brand) with it as they think that's special

What are the kcal/cup for Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food?

What dog treats work well with the gastrointestinal biome food?

I have a $10 off coupon I received from Hill's Science diet for this food. How do I apply this coupon for an online order?

        1. you can't. call customer service.

My dog has a suspected chicken sensitivity. This food has been suggested to assist with resolving an episode of acute gastroenteritis; will the fact that this is chicken flavored make this counter productive?

        1. Thank you for your inquiry. Our Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome formula actively promotes regular healthy stool and helps reduce risk of future episodes. It is not intended for a pet that has a chicken allergy. We hope this is helpful. Hill's Pet Nutrition

How much a day would you feed a 67 lb dog?

        1. Thank you for your question. We recommend feeding 4 & 1/3 cups per day to a 67 pound dog. However, this feeding amount is intended only as a starting point. It's critical to your pet's health that his or her physical condition be monitored regularly and the feeding amount adjusted as needed. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Will a dog treat be developed that is compatible with this dog food? What can I add to this kibble for a little variety? What can I give my dog, other than a bit of the kibble by hand, to satisfy her desire for a treat?

        1. Thank you for your question. At this time, we do not offer a treat to go along with this product, however, we will be glad to make the suggestion for that product to the company on your behalf. Our products are formulated to be 100% nutritionally complete and address your pet's special needs. When you mix Hill's products or mix another brand of pet food/treats with our products, you may minimize these benefits. Hill's Pet Nutrition
