Questions
What diameter tubing would fit the inlet? I want to create a unidirectional flow in my tank.
- Hi, Based on official Petco Customer Service specifications for SKU 2581101, the Imagitarium Aquarium Power Head (12W) has an inlet with an inner diameter of 18.3mm. Thank You.

Was looking at this to use on an undergravel filter in a 15 gallon column aquarium. Is it to powerful?
- Yes, unfortunately. I bought this for the same purpose for a 10 gallon tank and ended up replacing it with the adjustable powerhead made by top finn. This turned my 10 gallon tank esentially into a toilet bowl.

Would this be too much for a 5 gallon tank, also I’m thinking about getting a water frog (African dwarf frog) and they can’t have strong currents or else it can harm them, would this keep a steady smooth current in a 5 gallon tank?
- This power head would be far too strong for such a small tank- and for the frog. What purpose is the power-head serving? If it is simply for more water turbulence, a stronger filter would work as a better fix. Although would not benefit the frog unless you got alot of top floating plants to create a still-water spot.

Can I use this to put on top of my sponge filter pipe?
Can I use this to upgrade the filter in my Imagitarium Frameless Freshwater Aquarium (SKU 2782157)? If not, can you point me in the direction of something that would work?
- I actually came to this to see for any good answers; i assume so. The pump used for the frameless imagitarium SUCKS! Biggest downside to the aquarium. I am going to buy another just to remove back but increasing the flow may increase it. I say: experiment! Worst is you need to return the pump to the store for return. For science!

Will this be too powerful for a 30 gallon tank?
- Hi Evanj044, We would recommend SKU 2581101 for 40-75 gallon aquariums. Thanks,

I am a little dumbfounded and could use some help/advice. I previously had a wave maker, what are the pros and cons comparing this to a WaveMaker, also how are they different? Thanks
- This pump does not pulse like a wave maker has an air valve to aerate the water and its continuous water flow.

Has anyone used this for water changes? Like putting it in a bucket to pump water back into an aquarium?
- Yes, I have and it worked great. Only downside was that the inlet for aeration got in the way of the tubing I used for water changes. I had to use a hose clamp to keep it attached.

- Hi Carole100, We do not sell replacement parts for this we apologize, you will have to do some searching.
