Description

Testing your aquarium's water is fast and simple with Imagitarium Nitrate Test Kit. This easy-to-use kit includes test solutions, instructions, vials, and a color-coded chart to identify problems caused by nitrate. With proper use, this kit offers 90 tests for nitrate levels 0 to 160 ppm.Nitrate can fluctuate due to overstocking and overfeeding, which leads to waste buildup, possible algae blooms, and stress for your fish. To help reduce nitrate levels, increase the frequency of water changes and vacuum your substrate to remove unwanted waste. Testing water parameters on a regular basis is important to understand the health of the environment.

Totally Worthless

This always reads essentially zero. I have two other nitrate tests, one of which is a Hanna checker. Those two more or less agree, this one reads close to zero. For reference, bottle two has to be shaken HARD, harder than you would think, so always try that if a nitrate test of this type (API is also like this) is giving you a questionable reading. I hit this thing on the table, and shook it upside down as hard as I can (which, to be fair, is somewhat limited, because I have dislocated my elbow in the past), and it still reads close to zero. Just don't waste the money on this, and buy ANY other brand instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My nitrates are high but this kit shows near 0. Yes I followed the instructions. Wasted 15 dollars on this and still have to get the API one now

House Brand for a reason.

I bought this today. Did some comparisons almost identical to the API test except the color chart looks easier to determine the actual PPM. I was excited because I thought the reagent in my other test kit was contaminated. Half way through the test I shake bottle two and was ready to administer the reagent, go to take the cap of it unscrews everything off the top including the dropper cover. Fought with the lid with pliers to try to make it usable, finally got it off to find the internal dropper never had the hole drilled initially... At this point I have decided to return the product. That is terrible quality control, so bad it made testing the product impossible.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good but could be better

Glass is thin but a good size for easy shaking. Could include a footer/stand for the test tube so it doesn’t fall over. The test is only for testing nitrates, would prefer a full spectrum test kit. However, results are accurate.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This kit is easy to use and effective. I have always been worried about the levels of different things in my aquarium but now i know my nitrate level is good. The fish appreciate living in a clean environment.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Seemed easy to use

It was a an easy product to use. All you needed was to fill the tube to the line with tank water, add 10 drops of bottle 1 and then 10 drops of bottle 2. I did it twice to make sure I did it correct and the water kept matching to “safe” conditions from the color code. Although my tank is small and it’s a betta fish only in there. I wasn’t sure if my water was clean cause it was looking dirty, but if I did it correct then it is safe.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Very useful water tester! I have a 75 gallon freshwater tank and a small betta tank that I use this tester for. Always gives an accurate and is very easy to use. Highly recommend it for those who have any kind of fish tank.
