Lid design is a problem
I bought this tank about 2 weeks ago and everything is great (size, set up, adequate lighting for my use), except for the lid. Gaps around the edges and the feeder hole opening/handle make it far too easy for small fish and even regular-sized snails to escape. I lost an Otocinculus catfish (which was likely sucking up the tank wall and ended up a dried piece of jerking on the table the next morning), and a fairly good-sized nerite snail was found alive on the underside of the tank

Pretty good! (and pretty in general!)
Bought this little tank a few weeks ago for a betta, disappointed to find that the pump was BROKEN in the box! However, brought it to Petco and they were so nice and they let us have the pump out of another box and they threw in the light and filter media from that box too. Now the new pump is working great-so far, so good. Betta is very happy and I love the glass and I solemnly swear that I will never buy plastic tanks again (probably). The water currently is pretty cloudy but that's probably my fault. Overall, this seems like a nice little tank.

I bought this a couple of days ago for baby guppies and I have spent last two days looking for replacement filter filters. I can’t find any anywhere and I guess I’ll have to make my own! if I had known that there are no filters available, I would never have bought this! Attractive set up, but without filters, it’s worthless.

No pump setup instructions
The tank is beautiful, however..... The assembly instructions for the pump are non existent and quite difficult to set up in the small compartment. So my betta (Bruce) got stuck in the hole to the pump compartment because the pump came dislodged. Managed to get him free, minus a few scales and he's pretty upset at the moment. Rightfully so.

Cant find filter specs so I ordered wither filter caetridge D or E I cant remember. The carbon replacement is 8.5x3x.74inc comes in 2 count. Need 2nd filter specs (one with white beads) dont see anything mentioned on product specs!!! Make sure u get snails and carfish tank got green alge

How can I lessen the pace of the filtered water flow? My betta hates the fast current but can’t always avoid it.
- Hi, You might consider switching to a sponge filter. This is one of the most gentle types of filtrations, and it creates a very minimal current that is perfect for bettas and other fish that prefer still water. You will need a separate air pump to power it. Thanks,

Can the filter area be removed so you can have only a bare tank with light for use with Opae Ula shrimp that do not use filters?

My pump recently went out after it worked for a few years, is there a replacement pump I can buy or a different one that will work with this tank set up?
- Hi Shrimp4days Good day! We do not offer a direct replacement for this aquarium pump. A solution that we can recommend is to take down the dimensions and any electrical or performance output information that is typically listed on the aquarium pump, then research small aquarium pumps on petco.com from brands like SICCE that offer replacement pumps, with the goal to try and find an aquarium pump that matches as close to the existing pump as possible. Also, you should look to use an inexpensive air stone, air pump and airline tubing that can be quickly found in our stores to supply water movement and oxygenation to the aquarium water while the customer finds the replacement aquarium pump.
