My dog has allergies and this one is okay for her. She doesn’t seem itchy on it. I wish it was more affordable

Picky Eater Not Really Loving Food

JOY S.

My Chorkie is a picky eater. He is not eating this food. I've tried Farmer's Dog and Fresh Pet, and he is not eating any of it. He was a rescue and the rescue fed them raw. He won't eat anything other. I can't get him to eat vegetables mixed in even when I hand feed him. He just doesn't like the food.

Switching the kibble for JFFD has never been easier , She immediately loved it and I know she’s eating better and getting better nutrition

Healthy Options

Pepper has been eating the frozen chicken meals. As she is aging we felt a change in her diet was necessary. We chose the beef russet meals. She is enjoying it and we too are happy she is loving the new meal options.

My dog is a picky eater, but he loves the beef recipe. He licks his bowl clean every meal. He loves it!

change in food

my dog has a sensitive GI system and I trialed many foods when I first got him until finally finding the JustFoodForDogs turkey & macaroni. He's enjoyed it for years without issue. This last order came in new packaging with a different consistency. The emesis & poopnado that was unleashed was monumental. I don't know what they changed but it certainly didn't sit well with my pup or on my now ruined rug.

Frozen Turkey and Whole Wheat Macaroni

I actually like this food for my dog very much and she loves it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I do not like the consistency when it is frozen and shipped. I will be buying it at our local store instead.

Easy transition

Our Yorkie loves the fresh food and took to it quickly! During transition he would leave a few pieces of his old kibble in the bowl to tell us it wasn’t as good as the fresh!

Questions

1 - 5 of 5 Questions

I'm so bummed I bought the huge bags of beef and turkey for my 78lb amstaff with seasonal allergies and he ate one time and now won't eat it. He refuses to eat now. It's been in bowl since 5pm yesterday do I need to throw out? It's 3pm next day

  1. I normally throw it out after a day or so just depending on how it smells. Some start to stink quicker than others.

How long does it last in the freezer unopened

  1. 7 days

How much do you feed dogs that are under 10 pounds and 35lbs

  1. You should go to the Just Food For Dogs website. Answer their questions and they will tell you how much.

How many servings can you get out of this food for say a 6 lbs Chi? How often would you have to buy this food?

  1. First you need to figure out how much your pup needs to eat of this food by going to the JFFD website. Answer their questions and they will tell you. Mine eats 3/4 cup a day (but a scale is best with this food). I get about 7 days worth. My dog is 7.5 lbs. I take half and keep it frozen and take out as needed. You can also thaw and as soon as it’s opened portion to individual or daily feeding size, re-freeze, and take out nightly for the next day. Again you have to go online to figure out how much your dog needs. It’s based on size, age, and activity level.

This comes in 72ozs, is that one package or multiple small packages?

  1. I put it in a ziploc container in the fridge and just dish it out from there.
