I NEVER go out of my way to review items, but this is actually a game changer. I have an insanely high energy 2 yr old tabby who I gave up on buying wand toys for after about 2 months and probably 6 broken wands. He just played too hard and none of them were durable enough to withstand him. This toy is a GAME CHANGER. The elastic gives a much wider range of motion than a typical plastic wand so he can run and flip and fly without me sacrificing my shoulder. The stick itself is also much shorter than other extendable wands so while I’m flicking it around, I’m not worried about poking him in the face. The handle is comfortable and sturdy so no matter how hard he pulls, it stays put. The feather attachment itself is SUPER durable too, usually within 15 minutes or so my floor looks like a chicken coop with all of the feathers scattered but these are firmly in there. The attachment point between the wand and the elastic string has a swivel to it so it rarely ever tangles or wraps around the wand. My ONLY complaint is that it does have a pretty heavy metal bit right by the feathers so if he grabs it and pulls it away then lets go, it snaps directly back at you. Got a SOLID hit to my knuckle from that one time and immediately changed my approach and it hasn’t happened since, but a heads up for new users. That same metal bit at the end has also flung around a bit too hard and put an itty bitty dent in my wall, but I 10000% chalk that up to user error. ALL IN ALL: I have never found a better wand than this one, and I’ve been through MANY. I recommend this for cat owners new and old. My toes are no longer being bitten at night because his energy is spent and every day I am greeted at the door by him meowing and leading me to the drawer where I keep it. 10/10 toy

The attachment that holds the toy on is a big metal chunk that is heavy so when it swing around is has hurt my cat and they're not scared of the toy.

Our girl kitten is 8 months old and is super active, destructive with our furniture, scratches and climbs everything, including our curtains and big screen TV and rarely plays with toys. She LOVES this feather wand through the air and becomes so acrobatic that I have to be sure she doesn’t hurt herself. A kitty loves it, gets tons of fun exercise. Kitty Parents LOVE it, too…to help her release her lent up energy and satisfy her innate urge to hunt prey. This feather wand is a winner!

Our cats love this feather wand toy. They sit and beg for us to get it out. I wish there were feather attachment refills.
