Pour 4-5 inches of litter into an empty, clean and dry tray. Remove solid waste daily with a perforated litter scoop, do not flush down a toilet. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after each use. After a month or so of use, or after 40 days in the case of our OdorLock litter, empty the entire litter into a garbage can bag and clean the tray.

Do not flush cat litter in the toilet or near gutters or storm drains. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and people with an immune deficiency should consult a physician before handling litter. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging was nicely sealed. It slumped up better than the kitty litter I was using. The appearance just looks like tiny sand.The consistency keeps everything together and there's no tracking it out of the box.
