How loud is the gate when it opens/closes? Will it frighten skiddish dogs?
- The lock unlock is somewhat loud and could have a negative affect in the beginning, but if you set the door to open freely from both sides until your pet gets used to using it that will probably work for you.

do I understand correctly that this door opens without my pet pushing it? also, can I have written hardwire instructions to take to the electrician?
- The PlexiDor Electronic pet door opens automatically when the pet wearing the collar key approaches the pet door. The pet does not have to push open the pet door. Please email us at Support@plexidors.com and we can send you the hard wire directions. We are unable to attach documents to through this question and answer site.
