I believe some of your Pro Plan Adult dog foods are approved for all ages. I'm interested in your Purina Pro Plan w/ Probiotics Shredded Blend Salmon & Rice Dry Food because many of the reviews mention a shiny coat. Is it suitable for a 7 mo old puppy?
- There is a puppy formula. Not all stores carry it. Google it.

Would you recommend this for a small breed (shih tzu)? Or is the food to big?
- I guess that depends on whether your dog chews its food or inhales it. They are larger pieces, but the biggest pieces might be just slightly larger than your thumbnail. Being a dry food, it breaks apart easily when they are chewing it. My suggestion might be to try a small 5 lb bag and see how your pup handles it. My english bullies have to have this particular food because of sensitive stomach issues.

I see a question like this has been asked, but since its been a year i wanted to get clarification. I've heard that the animal fat used in some formulas is derived from the food's main protein source. Is this true? Should use either chicken or beef IMO.

Is the animal fat listed in the ingredients from chicken? My dogs are allergic to chicken and I need to avoid ALL chicken products. Looking for lamb or salmon as main ingredient preferably.
