Description

Bring to mind your dog's younger days with Purina Pro Plan BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+ Chicken and Rice Formula dry dog food. Around age 7, a dog's brain begins to change how it metabolizes glucose, which can affect memory, learning, awareness or decision-making. Purina discovered that enhanced botanical oils can be used to provide an additional fuel source for the brain in dogs age 7+. When added to the daily diet of dogs 7 and older, these enhanced botanical oils promoted memory, attention and trainability. This Purina Pro Plan dry dog food also includes chicken as the first ingredient, giving your dog a delicious high-quality source of protein that keeps him running to his bowl. Glucosamine and EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, support your dog's joint health and mobility, while omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin A promote healthy skin and a beautiful coat. Feel good about feeding him a formula designed to deliver top-tier, highly specialized nutrition that makes you both happy.

Purina guarantees outstanding quality and taste. If for any reason you're not satisfied, simply let Purina know why. Feel free to mail your original purchase receipt with the price circled, a brief explanation of why you were dissatisfied with our products, the "Best If Used By" date box from the package, along with your name and street address (P.O. Box not accepted) to: Purina, Consumer Services, PO Box 340, Neenah WI 54957.

Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 112 g of Pro Plan. We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Bright minds

I can only say she is eating it well. I'm not sure how it is affecting her otherwise. I wish the kibble were bigger. My dog is going to be 7 in June and is a Lab.

My three dogs eat this food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As recommended by my vet, all 3 of my dogs eat this food. Two of my dogs are elderly and bright minds has been very good for their memory maintenance. My youngest dog (8) also eats this food. The vet said it is also good for her to eat it. They have been on this kibble for quite a few years already. I won’t ever change their food unless they need soft food at some point. At that point I would still keep them on a Purina product. They also seem to enjoy eating it. It’s a win/win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As our dog has begun to age even as his teeth fail on him as many times as we've tried to give him what food or put water in his dry food, he will do nothing but eat this food crunchy and it is his favorite thing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a reliable food for senior dogs, but I'm not sure it made my dog more alert.

My 17yo dorkie seems to be improving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It certainly isn't happening overnight, but my 17yo dorkie's severe demtia seems to be somewhat improving with this bright mind dry blend. i doubt I'll ever get my eagerly obedient, militarily house-trained, best boy in the world back—but at least he doesn't snap at me everytime i go to pet him. he's also circling less, and resting more. the food is pricey, but to me, these improvements are priceless. just wish the bright mind wet food cups were easier to track down.
