Questions
I have a Toy Australian Sheppard. He does not like chicken. He is a bit overweight. We have given him a lot of Varity of pro plan dog food wet and dry. He has had half of his teeth removed by a vet. He said he could eat dry dog What do you recommend?
- On the wet side, the Purina Pro Plan Slices and Gravy in the lamb variety and beef varieties. The meat and veggies are in gravy and easy to chew for doggos with missing teeth while still looking like real food. That said portion control is important as I ended up dropping the line because I couldn’t consistently keep weight off my dogs. As for dry food, we always used Fromm which we could only get at a local pet store. We dropped that as well and went to Farmers Dog at Christmas for their lightly cooked potion controlled plans. It is more expensive but it has started weight loss on both dogs we weren’t seeing on traditional pet food.

Why is there chicken in the beef/bison and the lamb wet food. I am trying to get away from chicken intolerance and cant use any Proplan wet?
