FLUTD Diagnosed Savannah Cat Thriving On Diet

Cyndie

My F4 Savannah cat was diagnosed with FLUTD when he was about a year old. Our vet first prescribed another urinary formula, but he completely refused it. We ended up switching to Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets UR Urinary St/Ox, and honestly, it’s been a huge relief. He loves it. He eats his kibble with the same excitement he has for wet food, which is saying a lot because Savannah cats can be really picky. Since being on this food, he’s stayed healthy, keeps a great weight, and has tons of energy. His coat looks gorgeous, his teeth look great, and most importantly, he hasn’t had any urinary issues while eating this diet. That peace of mind alone makes it worth it for me. I’m really glad we found a prescription food that he not only tolerates, but genuinely enjoys and thrives on. (It's also kind of cute that the cat on the bag looks similar to my cat.)

My cats love the taste. I feed three mostly feral cats UR. All three from the same litter. One ruptured his urethra a few years ago.

controls my cats urinary crystals

Kaity

my cat was straining to urinate so we did a U/A, found crystals in his urine. i got him on this food the next week, and he loved it! it’s his favorite out of any food i’ve fed him. rechecked u/a about 3-4 weeks later and had no crystals! keeping him on the food for obvious reasons, but im happy to say it is helping my boy and keeping him from a urinary blockage.

Older cat with history of FLUTD. Cat has been offered every urinary diet on the market. Thus one seems to be the most appealing.

Our boy is healthy

After spending 6 days with a catheter passing bloody kidney stones in the animal hospital, our 8 year old tuxedo was prescribed this food by our veterinarian. First off, he really LIKES it. Secondly, he appears healthy and thriving. And thirdly, maybe we won't have to mortgage the house to pay another vet bill.
