These lasted 12 YEARS! I just bought two more to replace the demolished ones. My cat LOVES scratching on them. And, obviously, I'd rather have this be shredded than my furniture! We even have bought some as gifts to new cat parents. I'd definitely recommend.

Good height! It is durable and sturdy; our cats can't pull it over on themselves. This is our second one!

My cats use it, and that makes them happy. But this isn't made entirely of sisal, it actually appears to be made more of a plastic fiber. It is in large strands woven with the sisal, but the plastic fiber runs laterally so your cat is actually scratching the plastic more than the sisal which runs up and down. There is more of this plastic than the natural sisal fiber that it is advertised. I can see the plastic pieces shredding into smaller threads and further evidence of the plastic shredding, becoming too small to see but I'm sure it is going into their mouth via grooming. I wanted to avoid plastic for this very reason. Don't declaw, but also be mindful of the actual plastic your cat is shredding onto itself. (Also the case with the carpet trees. All of those fibers are plastic fiber.) The cats like it and its sturdy for my big boys. It looks like it has a typical lifespan so the advertisement being somewhat dependant on the natural fiber is moot.

This is the best cat scratching post I’ve ever seen! If you have a cat that likes to stretch when they scratch, this is a must. It is also very sturdy, and I highly recommend it! 🐾🐾

The package I bought did not come with the screws needed to assemble it.

I have 3 big adult cats who love it. They don't scratch anywhere else now. Great size for my small home, very sturdy by design, and simple to assemble!!

My cats ignored other scratching posts in favor of couch, chair, baseboards. Since I bought this one it’s the only thing they use. I sprayed catnip on it once and gave them a treat the first couple times. Now it’s part of their morning routine and they don’t scratch the furniture or anything else.

My cat has scratched this post maybe 10x over several weeks. The sisal fabric is coming unglued from the post - not wearing like other scratchers but the whole sheets glue beginning to wrinkle. Not recommended. Poorly finished.
