My dog has been dependent on this product for years. Humilin didn’t work for him so he probably wouldn’t be alive today without Vetsulin

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cost versus convenience

Then convenience of the pen comes at a cost. Twice that of a bottle of vetsuline and syringes.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Arrived warm

I'm concerned that the Vetsulin arriving with warm melted Freezer bags and the shipping container had no coolness within it. Vetsulin needs to remain refrigerated.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Insulin works, order & shipping is THE WORST!

The Vetsulin is sent directly from a contracted Vet & appears to be fine. My experience with Vetsulin is this: It saved my dog's life, but is difficult to maintain a steady level. In part by the dog's diabetes and in part by the ability to control their sugar. We've gone from 1.5 units to 4 units in a little over a year for a 10lb dog. I've asked around and it's not completely unusual but it does tend to get really expensive so a lot of people are switching to a competitor. The price here is already inflated but I have a gift card that I need to use so I'll take the hit. It could have been packed better. It comes in the standard large foam cooler but it was not lined, it had 3 ice packs on the bottom and some plastic where a competitor's came fully lined and encapsulated. It's 107 degrees here today so that could be a concern, especially since Petco was unable to give me any legitimate updates (long story that we can't share here but I took it up with customer service to no resolve).

Yes, I recommend this product.

I was impressed with cold pack packaging. Even though it took 2 days to get here, it was still cool.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Takes way too long to send insulin!

If this is your first time ordering insulin through Petco, make sure you are on top of your vet to send the prescription and make sure they allow for refills. After waiting 8 days after ordering I found out Petco was STILL trying to review the prescription and didn’t bother to contact me. I could have helped to expedite things had I been informed. Now we’re almost out of insulin after this long wait and I am hoping for the delivery to come today before we run out. May just get this through our vet in the future even if a little more expensive just to avoid the “middle man” delays.

No, I do not recommend this product.
