I had my 4 month old Rottweiler puppy on Royal Canine and didn’t like that is has chicken by product meal. I spent hours looking at food. Bought this for him and when I was on day 50/50 split if old and new he go bad diarrhea. I did it slowly over a week and was up to the 50/50 day. I couldn’t move forward it was bad. Luckily I was about to return the opened bag and get a full refund. The very next day I fed him all Royal Canine Rottweiler large breed puppy and he pooped solid that evening ! I will keep him on what works until he is 1 1/2 years and then start making him his food.

Causes horrible diarrhea

Tyler

Caused explosive diarrhea until i realized it was the food. I switched him to another brand and he was fine almost immediately. They seem to always respond to reviews with "most dogs do well on this product", judging by these reviews i'd say probably not. If so many people are letting you know this product is making their dogs dsick, why are you still selling it?

Our puppy loves Wellness Large Breed Puppy Food! He gobbles it up, so we have to put it in a slow down dish to make sure that he doesn't eat it too quickly.

Puppy is completely uninterested

Mash

My 10 m.o. shiloh shepherd pup is just absolutely uninterested in the food. I was trying to find some more cost effective but still well balanced nutrition options to royal canin's large breed puppy food, but looks like wellness isn't it.

Tried five times over six weeks. Soft stool.

I really wanted this food to work. We’ve had great luck with Wellness Core Grain Free, but wanted a grain option for our new Labrador puppy. We went one month on his old kibble and then took two weeks to transition him to this food. Nice and slow. Diarrhea. Had to put him on boiled beef and rice. Started transitioning him back to this food. Diarrhea. Back on beef and rice. The vet put him on meds for it. Tried again. Same. Tried again. At this point he’s actually losing weight during his rapid growth phase and I’m growing concerned. More meds from the vet. Tried again. Same problem. Tried to transition back to his original food and he’s immediately fine. So the rest of this bag is a waste. Super disappointed to read so many others have had the same problem. Perhaps remove this formula from the market.

Great food for my husky mix puppy

Frankie and Billies Mom

Frankie is a husky mud, 10 months old, and 37 lbs. She loves this puppy food so, because of that, so do I. Huskies and husky mixed are notorious for being picky eaters. This is not a problem for mine with this puppy food. I've noticed that she is not popping a much out - she's regular but the amount is less. I'm guessing because of less fillers. With other food, she's had some bouts Wirth diarrhea and/or loose stools, so I just regulators add a spoonful of pumpkin puree abc if keeps her digestion track healthy. At her play group, they tell me she never stops playing - a sign of a healthy dog. I'm totally satisfied with Wellness puppy food!

Bad Tummy Issues

AGL23

I really wanted to like this dog food, as the ingredients sounded top notch. Unfortunately this kibble has my 5 month old sheepadoodle puppy vomiting and having diarrhea. I did a bland diet and slowly re-introducing this kibble on three separate occasions, but every time the extremely soft stool/diarrhea/vomiting continued. Her GI system simply won't tolerate it. Bought on Amazon and now stuck with almost a full 30 lb bag :/

I have a 9 week old Boerbel commonly known as a South African Mastiff and we were feeding him 4 health as directed by the Breeder but it was hurting his stomach. I was told to try Wellness Complete health large breed puppy food, but I'm not sure?

  1. We have a dog with a sensitive stomach and allergies and the Vet recommended Wellness. She’s been on the sweet potato and whitefish for over 10 years now. Would definitely recommend Wellness.

Should I feel my 4 mth old Husky a regular puppy or large breed puppy food. He is supposed to grow anywhere from 45 to 60 lbs?

  1. I would recommend it until he is 2 yrs. old. It has done wonders for our Lab/Mix which she weighs 50 to 55 lbs. She'll be 2 yrs. come January she'll go on Wellness Super 5 Mix Large Breed Adult.

At what age do I stop feeding my lab/pit mix Wellness puppy food?

  1. We fed our Lab/Mix Puppy Wellness Large Breed Puppy, can and dry food till 2 yrs. old then switched to Wellness Large Breed Adult both can and dry.

at what age do i stop feeding my husky puppy food ??

  1. According to Solid Gold, their bag says a year. We have a Rottie puppy currently on the Wolf puppy food and intend to keep her on it until she's a year old. Our vet concurs with that.

would the wellness super5mix large breed puppy health dog food be good for my 12 week old pit bull or what would you recommend i feed him?

  1. Me and my hubby fed our American Stafordshire puppy this same exact dog food since we first got her at 2 months old. She is now 10 months old and the vet says she is healthy and her joints and hips look good and she still growing. A worker from Petco told us that overall the dog food formula keeps the puppy from growing faster then their joints grow to prevent any joint problems in the future. Hope I was of some assistance :)
