Our Mini schnauzer has fleas and we're looking to rid them from her, looking at Adams™ Plus Flea & Tick Shampoo with Precor®. We have been applying Frontline Gold, concerned its stopped working hence the fleas, your advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Frontline has showed a lot of resistance with fleas. Personally I don’t recommend Adam’s. I would use Nexgard, Simparica, Bravecto, Advantix ii, or the Seresto collar. Good luck!

Hello. Porous versus solid surfaces will vary, but if you do not apply it too heavily, your carpets & furniture should dry within an hour or so, depending on temperture in your home. If you can set up fans, this will speed drying. Then, just use your hand to judge how dry the cloth surfaces are. Once it feels dry to your hand, your kitties can enter the room. I have a toy poodle that weighs 6.5 lbs. She is inside. Only goes out to potty. she has gotten fleas. I just gave her the 4th capstar pill over the last month. Is it safe to also use k9 advantix topical treatment on her? If so how long should I wait?
You can use both products on the same day so it is fine to start the Advantix at any time. There are better products that Advantix. Top products for dogs are oral products such as Simparica and Nexgard. Top products for cats are topicals such as Revolution and Cheristan. There is also an oral product called Comfortis that both dogs and cats can take. You will need to switch all the pets over to a good flea product. Make sure to discuss these products with your veterinarian first. These products are generally safe for all pets but there are some conditions which are contraindicated for the oral products. Cleaning up and treating the house and yard will also help but it will not clear all the fleas. The main control is making sure the pets are on good products. This is what will ultimately stop the infestation. Also remember every female fleas lays about 50 eggs a day and it could take up to 6 months before the eggs hatch. Since you have cats it’s best to get Sunny on an oral flea preventative, such as Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica, Comfortis or Trifexis (flea and heartworm preventative. Best wishes keeping those fleas at bay with Sunny. Take care.

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about.
