I like Advantage. I use it on my dogs with great success. Keep in mind as well you have to disinfect the environment, as fleas live there and not on the animal. They only jump on the animal to feed. Wash Mocha's bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. I hope this helps!

[Advantage II](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/brand/advantage?utm_source=PetCoach&utm_medium=questions&utm_campaign=bayeradvantage) flea prevention is applied to your dog topically, spreading over the skin and hair. It kills fleas through contact, which means that fleas don't have to bite your dog to be exposed to the preventive. On the other hand, with oral flea medications, fleas are killed only after biting your dog and ingesting the medication. One flea bite can lead to an allergic reaction in sensitive dogs. Additionally, some oral flea preventives last as long as 12 weeks. Pet parents may find this more convenient. Most topicals must be applied every 4 weeks. Regardless, either product must be applied or administered regularly and following label directions in order for it to be effective.

Hello. There are a lot of really good flea & tick products out there, & for everyone one of them, you can find an untrue horror story online. Advantix ll has been around for over 10 years & if there were significant problems with this, it would be long gone by now. The oral products Bravecto & Nexguard, are also very, very good. The problem with the orals is that a similar product called Simparica, was associated in a slight increase in tremors or seizures in some dogs. But this has really not been the case with either Bravecto or Nexguard. Tick disease can be very serious, costly & dangerous. You have to weigh the very small chance of a reaction associated with one of the flea/tick products with the real possibility of a serious tick borne disease. I would rather not have to deal with nasty ticks on my pets or in my home. I regularly use Bravecto on some of my pets & the Seresto collars on others & have been very happy. Advantage works well for some areas of the US and some pets. If you are still finding fleas on Lucky in a week or two, you may need to try a prescription product sold by your vet. It can take 3 months or more of consistently treating the pets in a household and the home to get fleas under control.
