Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Thankfully, you have a few options here. I recommend you consider using a product called Capstar which is to kill a lot of fleas at once to complement a flea preventative product like Advantage. You can go ahead and give another dose of Advantage now as well. I would not give up on Advantage just yet. Continue to use it for now as this flea may be was a one time occurrence and the Advantage was still being effective. Another option is switching to Bravecto now though again Advantage may still be effective so it may be best to exhaust its use. Good luck and have a great day!

I like advantage better than Frontline. That said, some veterinary office will sell flea products one unit (one month) at a time. They only require a physical exam once a year most likely, so they can establish a patient client relationship. I really like revolution or Comfortis for flea medicine but if you have to pick between advantage and frontline I prefer advantage. You could also alternate advantage one month, frontline one month then go back to advantage. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

It's great that you want to be prepared for your new kitten! Aside from the obvious things for the kitten like food and water bowls, I'd recommend a tall scratching post and perch. Two litter boxes in different areas of the house are recommended. Canned kitten food (and canned adult cat food as Myla gets older) is preferred over dry food. Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. https://www.vohc.org

Yes that sounds like you cat might be having fleas so no harm at all if you want to start the treatment with appropriate dosage of one of the two. I would suggest to go for Advantage though as Frontline seems not working so well at the moment. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
