My dog's bed is flat. What type of stuffing is safe and where to buy?

Dachshunds tend to be snugglers, and also love to be buried (like under a blanket!). I'd look into a dog bed (or even a large cat bed) that has a [clamshell or hooded design](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/harmony-hooded-cave-cat-bed-in-grey) that she can crawl into and be covered up by it. Is it safe to use laundry products when my dog sleeps in my bed?

I recommend using a mild or sensitive detergent, that it what I have used on my sheets and clothing, and have never had a problem with my dogs even when they sleep in the bed with me. Dryer sheets are fine too, the only problem comes if the dog ingests them. I hope this helps!

There are many possible treatments for arthritis in dogs, including pain medication, physical therapy, acupuncture, Adequan injections, laser treatments, specially-formulated foods, and a variety of supplements. It would be a great idea to have your dog examined by a veterinarian to determine if treatment is needed at this time and, if so, which treatment would be more appropriate.
