Hi there! Your dog may be getting sore and arthritic, which would make it harder for her to get up when she's laying down. There are many possible treatments for arthritis in dogs, including pain medication, physical therapy, acupuncture, Adequan injections, laser treatments, specially-formulated foods, and a variety of supplements. It would be a great idea to have your dog examined by a veterinarian to determine if treatment is needed at this time and, if so, which treatment would be more appropriate. Please remember there are no safe over the counter pain medications for dogs, so you will need to have these prescribed by a veterinarian. Thanks for using Boop by Petco and best of luck to you and your dog!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! An orthopedic bed is not likely to help though it is very hard to make any recommendations with the information provided. It really depends on what the source of her condition is. I would highly recommend you check in with your veterinarian if he has not been improving as they would know more about his condition and would be able to make more specific recommendations. General medications for pain include buprenorphine for example. If they think he is painful, they may start him on something like that. Good luck!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. It sounds as though she is starting to suffer from arthritic pain. With her age, it is not surprising that she has developed arthritis. If you are not giving her any supplementation to help support healthy joints, I would recommend doing so. Below is a list of arthritis recommendations. I would also discuss pain management with your veterinarian as you will need prescribed medications to manage her pain. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. SUPPLEMENTS - These are very safe products to help decrease inflammation, heal the joint, and reduce pain in your pet. Side effects are minimal with these supplements and usually involve stomach upset or diarrhea. They work in different mechanisms so one or all of them may be recommended. These are usually started in the early stages of arthritis. Additional medications are a
