If possible I recommend products available at your vet's office. These products are usually more effective than over the counter products and have undergone more extensive testing/safety trials. Often your vet's office will also have rebates or coupons available when you purchase the products that will help decrease the cost to you.

Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. There are many safe over-the-counter worm products in the united states. You will have to check at your local store what is available, however what you are describing sounds like a round worm. This often looks like spaghetti. I suggest you look up 'round work' on the internet and if this looks like the type of worm it is, make sure you get a product that covers round worms. Most routine dewormers will for cats. The other common type of worm are tape-worms that have little segments. Milbemax is a good broad-spectrum dewormer. Best of luck with Metro.

I use Yesteday News which is pelleted litter made from recycled newspaper. They also have pelleted pine litter. The pellets are bigger and don’t track out of the litter box, and don’t stick to their feet. I use just a small amount and clean it daily. I also have a robot vacuum and it vacuums daily on a schedule so the house is clean without me having to do it. The vacuum was one of my favorite purchases ever! Hello, my name is Dr. Shines and I am happy to help. You can get a product called Bayer Quad Dewormer and use it on Taz as long as he is over 2lbs. Instruction will be on the package. Give it with food to decrease the potential for GI upset. Tapeworms come from fleas so be sure to keep him current on flea prevention. Your veterinarian will carry the best products like Nexgard but for now, you can use name brand Frontline or Advantage/Advantix. I also recommend and agree with you to get him into the vet to be checked for other parasites. If he has one type, he may have others. Some of these parasites can spread to humans so it's important to keep up with routine checks and treatment. I hope this helps and please feel free to reach out any time.
