Yes, I recommend feeding twice daily and he should have a good quality senior food. Often feeding some wet food will help him feel less hungry. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I am sorry Sam isn't doing well! I think at this point Same needs to be seen before Monday. Since he is now vomiting for 2 days and not eating that is more concerning than just diarrhea. Possible causes for these signs are: viral or bacterial infections, foreign body, dietary indiscretion (ate something gross), toxins, intestinal parasites. He may need blood work and X-rays of his belly to help find out the exact reason. I recommend bringing a stool sample with you if you can. I would stop trying to give him the probiotic and the antibiotic since he is vomiting. I hope this helps and I wish Sam the best!

Hello, It is not uncommon for dogs to be very excited about food and therefore eat it up very quickly. But it is better for digestion if we can get them to eat slower, just like it is for us. They actually make special bowls designed to slow dogs down when eating. You should be able to find one at any pet retailer or search online stores for "slow feeder dog bowls". Best of luck!

We are currently residing in china. The vets here have two different ways of spaying, one the dog is kept for 4 days the other the dog goes home same day. I'm guessing they have different procedures... Which would be the right one?
I don't know much about how they spay dogs in China, but I can't say I have ever heard of a dog requiring a four day hospital stay after this procedure. Here in the USA, most dogs will either go home the same day or the day after the procedure. Although a spay is an intra-abdominal procedure were an organ is removed, they tend to wake up well and not particularly painful. Unless they are using some method in China that is far more involved, I would think that the same day method is more in line with realistic.
