It's common for young puppies to bark and cry if they are alone at night - more space is not likely to make any difference. I would recommend having Toby sleep in a crate right beside your bed at night. This way, you can talk to him or rest your hand on the crate to reassure him if he fusses.

I would recommend using a spray bottle filled with water or something that is moist to startle her when she barks like this. If she tries to jump up in the bed say "off!" And use the spray bottle to lightly spritz her in the face. Enough times of this will get her to stop. Then when she sees the water bottle out by the bed, she will likely not try to get up. When she starts barking you can use something noisy such as a can filled with coins or bells and throw it near her to startle her. Enough times of this will hopefully get her to stop barking. The key with these training techniques is persistence and patience. A lot of times they will work but you need to be patient with her and the techniques described. I hope this helps! My bitch( goldador) 1 yr 4 n half months old, keeps barking as soon as all the family members go to bed at night, as soon as she barks we take her out for a walk assuming she needs to do pee but the moment she is tied up again she starts barking.

At two months, Baxter likely needs out every 1-2 hours, so that would mean going out several times in the night and not just once. I would switch out the bedding with a towel or puppy pad that is easy to clean in case he has an accident in between. As he gets a bit older, he should be able to go longer in between outings.

Praise and reward Bentley when she lays on her bed. Restrict access to the room if possible. You can also use a physical barrier such as a carpet runner flipped upside down. The grips on the runner will be uncomfortable for her to lay on. You can also use a deterrent product such as a Scat Mat which will deliver a harmless shock if she jumps up onto the couch.
