Cats and holiday decorations don’t always mix well. As curious animals, cats tend to explore any new additions to their environment and see many of these shiny, new objects as fun toys. Tinsel is the ultimate shiny object for a cat to play with, which often ends with subsequent ingestion. If ingested, tinsel poses a serious risk of causing an intestinal blockage, also known as a linear foreign body obstruction. This life-threatening surgical emergency can easily be avoided by keeping tinsel out of homes with cats. Other holiday decorations can pose problems to particularly curious cats, such as strings of lights that some cats may try to chew, decorative ornaments or snow globes that look like toys to bat around, or poisonous plants, such as mistletoe or poinsettias. When decorating for the holidays, try to look at your house from your cat’s point of view and keep decorations that look like enticing toys packed away.

Hello. The cats & kittens offered at Petco are actually managed by individual rescue groups. Prices will differ from rescue to rescue. All cats can do well if they are played with & fussed over once you get home. Can they get into trouble & sometimes make a mess? Absolutely. If you do not want hair & dander & kitty litter tracked all over the house, you should not have a pet. Cats may need to have their claws trimmed ( NOT REMOVED ) & plenty of opportunities to exercise their claws, otherwise they will scratch your furniture, moldings & walls. You will need different types of scratching surfaces, plenty of toys, a water & food dish, litter box ( or 2 ), & lots of patience. All cats are individuals, so when you go looking to adopt a cat, take your family & give yourself plenty of time to spend with your potential pet, & ask lots of questions about them. Hi there and thanks for posting! Yes, there are many ways to bond with your cat. Playing with your cat with fun interactive toys frequently is one of the easiest ways. Some cats love the little laser pointers you can get at an office supply store and they will dart back and forth wherever you point the laser (just make sure not to point it directly at them). Feeding your cat regularly and making sure they have a safe cozy area to retreat to when they need some alone time will ensure trust. Rewarding them for good behavior and petting them and/or snuggling with them frequently are great ways to bond as well. I hope this helps and thanks for using Boop by Petco!

When measuring Luna for a harness (chest and neck) how tight should the measuring tape be? Also is it ok to use a dog vest harness on a cat as long as I get the right size?
You should only be able to fit 2 fingers underneath. You should be able to find a harness in her size. If you are going to leave it on all the time I typically then recommend a breakaway collar. That way if she gets it caught on something it automatically breaks. If it is just to go outside with you then a harness is a great idea, just make sure you remove it when you are done.
