What dog bed for my cold, burrowing miniature dachshund puppy?
Dachshunds tend to be snugglers, and also love to be buried (like under a blanket!). I'd look into a dog bed (or even a large cat bed) that has a [clamshell or hooded design](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/harmony-hooded-cave-cat-bed-in-grey) that she can crawl into and be covered up by it. Is a dog crate good for my small dog's safety from kids and comfort?
A crate or crate training is never a bad idea. It can also serve as a safe place for Bella (as you have stated). It doesn't need to be huge either, just big enough for her to lay down, turn around and stand. Make sure there are no sharp edges and that the bars are close enough together so she cannot get her head between them.

My dog's bed is flat. What type of stuffing is safe and where to buy?

Is it safe to put a bed in my puppy's crate, especially if they chew?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Beds are fine in crates as long as they are not chewed up and/or pieces aren’t swallowed that would cause an obstruction. If Jasper chews the bed then he shouldn’t have a bed in his crate. I hope this helps!

My dog chews bedroom items at night. Any non-crate solutions?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Bad Sam! Can you leash him to the foot of your bed so he can't wander off to other things? If that doesn't work or isn't possible I think it is fine and not cruel to crate him at night. He should be sleeping anyway and it will also keep HIM and your stuff safe. Good luck!
