Yes, but you need to follow up with a longer acting flea control product as well. I like Advantage, it’s effective, safe and you can buy it at PetCo. Fleas are difficult to get every one and using another product with the cap star will take care of any you may have missed. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for your dogs.

Tobby would do best with a product like Comfortis, Simparica or Bravecto. These products last 1-3 months depending on which one you pick. These oral flea products last longer than Capstar. Capstar only last 1-2 days. You will need a consistent product for 6 months before the fleas will be gone. Hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You could try a medication called Capstar that tends to work rather quickly in killing fleas. This may help you get better control of the fleas while the other medications work. You can administer it daily until control has been achieved. This is usually quite effective. Good luck and have a great day!

You can safely give an oral flea medication such as Capstar (available OTC or from your vet) with other flea preventives. This will kill any fleas on the body within 24 hours, but will not stop flea eggs or reinfestation, which is why it is important to continue with other regular flea preventives. Making sure to clean out brushy areas, wash all bedding and fabric surfaces, and vacuuming baseboards, etc can also reduce flea eggs and fleas in the environment.

That should take care of the fleas. You can put the tablet in a small amount of canned cat food, or shove it down the throat if the pups won’t take it. I prefer to use a flea comb dipped in soapy water to remove any fleas from the pups. If you do this daily or more often you will get them all. I prefer Advantage to Frontline on tiny dogs as it’s less volume and I’ve had no reactions with it. Frontline sometimes irritates the skin and I do not find it to be as effective. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for your puppies.
