Do I need to add fish oil or probiotics to Acana foods? i noticed they already include this in their food in balanced amounts. The omega 3:6 ratio is 1:2.5 in the Acana foods, is this ok or is fish oil good to add?
If Chloe is not experiencing any health issues like skin problems, heart issues, or kidney disease then it would be unnecessary to add in additional fish oil. Too much fish oil could result in diarrhea so I wouldn't suggest adding it if there aren't any health issues. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!?

Thanks for reaching out. If is a good idea to fast for 1-2 days prior to shipment, this decreased feces and will help to keep the ammonia down. Typically clear bags are utilized with about 50% water, and 50% air/oxygen used. A local pet store might be able to assist, as they get shipment in (so have older bags and boxes, which need to be disinfected) and hopefully the skills to ship. Check with the airline also, box needs to be well labelled "LIE ANIMALS" and "THIS END UP". Sometimes a health certificate for interstate travel is needed, so contact airline and State of Utah, veterinarian. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I do not recommend adding a calcium supplement to puppy food it can affect bone growth significantly in a puppy. I recommend stopping that immediately unless directed by your Vet. As for the fish oil, that is fine but how often depends on the brand you are using. Most fish oils have instructions on the bottle and are once daily. If you want to post a picture of the fish oil with the label we can try to help.
