Comfortis is a prescription product so you will need to see your veterinarian. If you can has been examined within the last year, they may be able to approve the medication for you. You will also need to call your vet for pricing. It's typically cheaper per dose to buy it in a 6 months supply rather than a single dose. Ask if any rebates are currently running as this could help as well. To fully get rid of fleas, you will need to treat all the pets for 6 months. I hope this helps.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You are correct- Cody will need the 560mg size. It won’t hurt to give the smaller size but it may not be totally effective. Or you can contact your veterinarian and see if you can switch out the dose for the correct size. Good luck and kisses to Cody!

Comfortis is an excellent medication against fleas (it comes in a tablet formulation) which can be given once a month. Please ask your veterinarian for a prescription. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Advantus chews or CapStar may be options for flea control. The only drawback is that they are given daily. Comfortis, Credelio or Trifexis are probably your best options as they are more effective that the daily chews.

Great question and thank for you for providing the pictures! It is not safe to give your cat the Comfortis in a box that only has a picture of a dog on it. That medication is for dogs only. The box that has both the cat and dog on it means that it is safe to give to cats, and be sure to give your cat the dose according to his weight. I hope this helps :-)
