Hello and thank you for your post! I have used Fluconazole multiple times for yeast infections and 200mg twice daily is within the dosing range. I would discuss this with your prescribing veterinarian first before switching as different drugs are used in different circumstances. In my experience, Fluconazole has less side effects than Ketoconazole and I prefer Fluconazole. I do not know what concentration your amoxicillin syrup is, but if it is just a yeast infection, an antibiotic like amoxicillin is not going to help. Levofenil is a human product and has not been tested for use in animals, so I would avoid using this solution for treating Milo. I would recommend bathing Milo twice weekly with Duoxo Chlorhexidine PS combination shampoo until resolved. This shampoo will treat bacterial and fungal skin infections and it does so quite well. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns! I am also available via consultation if needed.

Unfortunately, by law it is illegal for the experts at Boop by Petco to give a prescription for any drug without seeing the animal in person first. That's because doing so requires a veterinary client patient relationship which cannot be achieved via an internet forum. In addition, the experts cannot say for certain if a specific drug is safe for your dog. You will need to take Cosmo into your vet to get a prescription for fluconazole.

Maloxon is to stop the vomiting, Zental is a type of dewormer which i would probably not recommend to use if you have a better alternative (drontal, Milbemax, Profender). if yu have no other alternative you can use both medications, the zentel needs to be given only for 3 days.

Hello. I am so sorry for your worries with Bugger. While it is ultimately up to your veterinarian to decide if it is appropriate to administer the Covenia injection while he is on the Prednisolone, there are no real contraindications if this needs to be done. As long as Bugger is not on an immunosuppresive dose of Prednisolone, the Covenia should work just fine. I hope Bugger is feeling better soon & thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.

It is best to use the flush solution first to remove debris and previous medication from the ear canal first (triz ultra) before applying the motazol. Squeeze a small amount of flush in to the ear gently, massage the base, and then allow your pet to shake his head. Gently wipe out any debris/solution with cotton balls that was dislodged. Then you can apply the motazol. I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco!
