The best food is likely going to be Hill's j/d prescription diet. The biggest issue with dogs that have these deformities is that they are more susceptible to getting arthritis. Hill's j/d has supplements and added nutrients to help with arthritis and is good for controlling weight (a crucial part of preventing arthritis). I hope that helps and all is well with Opie.

This definitely looks like dermatiits. Also it would not have resolved so quickly if it were bites. The dermatitis is likely a hypersensitivity to something in the environment. Unfortunately a lot of dogs are allergic to things like grass, pollen and molds in the grass, which can cause outbreaks of the skin in this manner. There are some options for management of environmental alleriges in dogs that you can discuss with your vet if O's skin has another outbreak. You can also consider getting O a topical product called Duoxo shampoo calm available online to help with his condition. Best wishes with your furry friend moving forward. Take care!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is just likely a display of dominant behavior. These types of behavior can improve though this does require in person training with the help of a qualified dog trainer. I would encourage you to contact a dog trainer that can work with you and Tova in person to really take care of this behavior. The sooner these behaviors are dealt with, the more likely it is that you can improve and resolve them. Good luck and have a great day!
