Some quality food brands that would be good options for Daisy include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, and Purina One. All of these brands have good quality canned and dry options. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!

While chicken necks can be a part of a balanced diet, feeding them as the entire diet is not healthy in the long run. Choose a good quality senior formula dry food. Stay away from store or discount brands. these typically contain lower quality ingredients and more fillers. An "All Life Stages" food is also an option, especially if you have more than one dog. Brands include Wholehearted ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/brand/wholehearted/dog/dog-food/dry-dog-food ), Natural Balance, Canidae and Orijen.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I'm sorry to hear Eddie is having dental issues. If his dental disease is that significant, and his mouth bacteria is making that bad of a smell, I would recommend having his teeth evaluated by a veterinarian and possibly having a dental. Bacteria in the mouth are not only bad for a dog's teeth, but they also can lead to bacterial translocation to the heart and kidneys, which can lead to substantial health issues long-term. At his age, I would recommend a senior dog food; there are many good options, including Purina Bright Minds, Acana, and multiple others. A good quality senior food (grain free or not) would most likely be a good option, and then having his teeth issues addressed. Good luck!

If the food already contains glucosamine and chondrotin than you shouldn't have to supplement with more unless the food contains an inadequate amount. You could look on the bag of food to see the amount that is in the food and compare it to the amount you have been giving. Make sure to switch foods gradually so you don't cause gastrointestinal problems.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Please keep in mind that she may be itchy because of allergies. Grain free food has nothing to do with being hypoallergenic helping with allergies and actually has not been really shown to have any benefit over food that contains grain. There have been reports that have linked grain free foods with heart disease. I would consider feeding her a canned or wet diet which may be easier to eat for her. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing her allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. You could add joint supplement such as Dasuquin or Cosequin to help with joint health. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take c
