Is there a over the counter medication for tapeworms that are for cats and that do not cost a lot

The type of dewormer depends on the intestinal parasite. If you post or describe the parasite I might be able to help you further. Hello! I suspect my cat has some type of worm and wanted to ensure the medicines I will provide are a safe combination. He is treated approximately every 6 weeks with Advantage Multi; in case this is tapeworms I would also like to treat with Drontal.
The Advantage Multi and Drontal contain different ingredients that do not negatively interact in the body, so they are safe to give together. Drontal usually comes in a size-specific bottle for cats and will have the recommended dosage labeled on the side. I recommend only using the Drontal as stated by the manufacturer. Feli D tablets seem to contain praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate, both of which should be safe to use in a nursing queen. The kittens are actually old enough to be dewormed as well if necessary, but you may need to use a different product since they are small.

Is there anything over the counter that I can give to fereal cats for worms?
Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. There are many over the counter products available in pet stores in the U.S. that are good dewormers. Milbemax, Revolution, Drontal, Strongid, Panacur, are some examples. I recommend calling your local vet to ask which products are most efficacious and available in your area, and you can get them from the store. For feral cats, the biggest problem is getting the medication into them, so you can talk with your vet about pills vs. liquids. If you are feeding them then a tablet in the food might work, but only if you are feeding them separately. Best of luck with the kitties!
