My horse has arthritis. What are the best treatment options available?
There are many treatment options actually. Here they are: 1) Oral joint supplements like Dasuquin or Adequan is available over the counter 2) Fish oils (pet formulated from your local pet store). These have natural anti-inflammatory properties. 3) Analgesics- strictly for pain: Tramadol OR Gabapentin from your local vet 4) Glycoaminoglycans- weekly Adequan injections for 4-6 weeks is a very effective treatment for osteoarthritis in pets. 5) NSAIDs- pet formulated only and prescribed by your veterinarian. Is it safe to mix my horse's Marqui EPM medication into their food?
If you are sure the horse will eat all of the feed with the paste, you can add it. However it would be better to directly give the paste into the mouth as it is a very expensive medication and your horse needs the full dose appropriate for its weight. Giving the paste directly into the mouth, then holding the mouth shut for a few seconds will ensure the paste is swallowed. If you are not sure how it is done, ask some of the barn mates to help you dose your horse.

How to get dog prescription refills online without extra vet fees?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! In the US we do not charge to write prescriptions (as far as I know). The laws in the UK must be different. Robenacoxib are prescription so there is no way to get the drug with out your Vet approving the prescription, My suggestion is to ask for a larger supply, 3 months or more with refills. That way you do not have to pay the prescription fee that often. I hope this helps and have a great day!
