Choose a good quality food with a named protein source. Avoid meat meals and by products. Stay away from store or discount brands. These typically contain low quality ingredients an dmore fillers. A "large breed" formula would be recommended. Premium brands include the Royal Canin line, Acana, Canidae and Orijen. The website www.dogfoodadvisor.com is an excellent resource for comparing foods.

Eukanuba is an excellent food. In my professional opinion, I don't think you need to worry too much about that 1%. You can add a hard boiled egg to the food for an easy way to add protein, probably once every other day would be fine. Or, ask your vet if he/she has a preference for a supplemental protein source since they made the 30% protein recommendation. Thank your asking Boop by Petco !

I would recommend a good, high quality puppy food. If your puppy is going to be a larger dog then I always recommend feeding a puppy food that is specifically a 'large breed' puppy food. There are many good brands of dog food available. A few of the brands I like and recommend are Hill's, Purina, Eukanuba, Iams, and Royal Canin. Congratulations on your new puppy!

Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. You need to get her wet food for large breed puppy, it may be one of the premium brands (Hill's, Royal, Eucanuba), but you can find something cheaper. If you use any of these food, you should not given any additional food supplements. Alternatively, you can cook food for the puppy. Mixture of cooked lean meat with rice, pasta and vegetables will be a good choice. In that case, you should add food supplements (from a pet shop or your vets) containing calcium and phosphorus. You can crate her if you have big enough cage.
