No, there are no herbal medications that can help with this condition. i don't know what medication your vet prescribed but asthma can be well controlled with prednisolone alone. this treatment will cost you less than 10$ a month (!!), i'm sure you can afford that.

Hello, Yes, this drug can be prescribed to be given orally to cats for the treatment of herpes. I'd recommend making an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss the best treatment plan for her. Special pharmacies can make oral medications in cat-friendly flavors, like tuna, and this can help make the medication experience much easier. Sometimes this disease is still going to require eye drops as well though. I'd recommend trying to train her and make the eye drop experience better with positive reinforcement, treats, toys, etc to maintain this condition best over time. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

According to the veterinary medicine resource this drug has been tolerated at doses up to 90 mg/kg with mild symptoms (anorexia and excessive drinking) in some cats. Callie would have to have eaten 450 mg of Famciclovir to see these symptoms, so she is well below this amount if she ingested 2-125mg tablets totaling 250mg. She should be fine, however you can also consult with pet poison helpline to talk it over with a certified toxicologist as well. But based on my minimal research she is below the toxic level for ingestion. I hope your sweet girl continues to do well. Take care.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Breathing issues can be a sign of many conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, heart disease, asthma, among many other possibilities. This could certainly be due to asthma which is not treated with antibiotics but rather it is treated with steroids and other medications. Since he has not improved, I recommend that you have Oscar reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include thoracic radiographs and bloodwork. Treatment would be dependent on findings. Good luck and have a good night!

Hydroxyzine has mild bronchodilation effects. There are more effective medications that can be given orally or even inhaled. If Sahsa's asthma is severe enough, he may need stronger anti inflammatory medications. Discuss alternative treatments and options with your veterinarian.
