What are good, affordable wet cat foods better than Fancy Feast?

I really like Hill's Science Diet, Iams (very inexpensive), or Purina for better options that are much better than Fancy Feast. It is good that you want to go with a wet food, since cats are not big water drinkers. This will help promote good kidney and urinary bladder health. You can also mix in the wet food with dry to help stretch out the wet food and make it even more affordable! Is Fancy Feast okay for my kitten's main diet or just a treat?

If a food is meant specifically for kittens, it should state on the label that it is for kittens up to one year. Feeding Fancy Feast Classic isn't bad, but your kitten's primary diet should be kitten food, wet or dry. If you decide to go with a primarily dry diet, you can still feed the Fancy Feast as a treat.

Best premium wet cat food? Pro Plan, Fancy Feast, or others?

I personally really like Pro Plan out of those choices, and I also recommend Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, and Iams. Any one of those four are excellent brands of food for Chester. I hope this helps :-)

If Christian is doing well ont he Fancy Feast, I would just continue with this, as it is a safe food and as long as he doesn't have any other health issues should be fine if he is eating it well. I would, however, recommend having him examined by a vet to ensure there isn't a reason he stopped eating hard food such as oral pain, and also as a senior pet it is recommended to have a check up and bloodwork yearly. Canned/wet food is actually ideal for cats due to the fact that they often don't get enough water through drinking so the wet food is better for urinary tract healthy, but any time we have a change in appetite, it should be investigated!
