Hello! My understanding is there is no one treatment for my outdoor cat that will address ticks, fleas, and worms. Currently I am using Revolution drops on her. Any advise on what 2 options that I can use together to address all three concerns? Thank
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I like Bravecto for flea and ticks. It is a topical that works for 3 months. Then I would use interceptor monthly for heartworm and intestinal parasites. Or you can use Advantage Multi and the Seresto collar for the ticks. But you are right there isn't a product that gets everything for dogs or cats. Have a great day!

The majority of flea problem (80%) is due to the environment. You can try to treat your yard and your house and continue to treat Tippie as the medicine will help break the life cycle and provide some relief. I do not know which products you have tried, but Bravecto is a good as one application can last for 3 months. You may want to look into a Seresto collar also as this can last 6-8 months for prevention. No flea products do well for repelling fleas, so despite having medication on them, fleas will still have to get on him in order to ingest the medicine to be killed. So seeing fleas does not mean it is not working, just means he is still finding them in the environment.

Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Hello. I am feeding food to a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood. I found that a couple of stray cats have lice problem. I want to help but they won't let me get close. Is there any medication that I can mix in the food to help kill lice on them? T
Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Unfortunately, there is nothing orally for cats that works to my knowledge. All the options for cats that I am aware of are topical. If you do decide to try a topical product PLEASE read the labels carefully as there are a few that are sold for dogs that are FATAL to cats. I like Advantage II from Bayer. It is over the counter, very effective, and lasts about 4 weeks - long enough to break the life cycle. Unfortunately, all the cats would need to be treated at the same time to prevent re-infestation. My cat has very stubborn fleas took him to the groomers twice! how do i get rid of them?
I would recommend either Revolution or Comfortis for flea prevention. If he has a really heavy flea load then you can first give a Capstar, which will get rid of the fleas within 1 hr and then follow up with a flea preventative for long term control.
