I prefer spot-ons and chews over collars. The only collar I would recommend is Seresto. This, in my opinion would be superior to Frontline, as in many areas there are resistances to Frontline already.

I would not recommend using Frontline Plus for dogs living in Florida. Frontline has been around a long time and it seems as though fleas are becoming resistant to it . I suggest you try one of the new oral flea/tick pills (Nexgard, Bravecto or Simparica). You can go to any of the VETCO vaccine clinics inside Petco stores to consult with the vet and get one of these products. Take your dog with you. Here are the upcoming clinics in your area. https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/clinic-locations-and-schedules/?zip=33433 Remember, you also need to treat the house and the outside environment in order to get the fleas under control. Also, all pets in the house should be on a monthly flea prevention.

Thanks for visiting Boop by Petco. I really like the following products for small dogs: Simparica (30 day protection per pill), Nexgard (30 day protection per pill) or Bravecto (90 day protection per pill). They all also do tick prevention as well and are flavoared, so they are relatively easy to give because your pet thinks its a treat. Ask your veterinarian if these are available at their clinic, becuase different clinics carry different products in house. i hope this was helpful! Best wishes and take care.

Yes, bravecto tablets which cover for three months or nexguard tablets which cover for one month are both effective against fleas and ticks. Bravecto has a more rapid onset of action and is highly palatable but must be given with food. Remember also to keep up to date with deworming medications also

The easiest way to do so is to go to your veterinarian and either buy the chews from him or get a prescription from your vet and get them over the internet. I am assuming you are looking to buy either Bravecto, Simparica or Nexgard. These are prescription only.
