She is 13 yr. Old small, overweight dog. Went to vet 1/14/18 due to her not using her left hind leg. She was diagnosed with inflammation and prescribed Galliprant 20mg to be taken 1 every 24 hrs. She took one yesterday and will take another this even
The first thing I would do is ask myself if the Galliprant has helped at all with the pain and lameness associated with the leg. The next thing I would ask myself if whether or not any of these other problems existed prior to your original vet visit, or if they occurred immediately after the Galliprant was administered. In general, Galliprant is an extremely safe medication that has almost no known side effects, EXCEPT for vomiting. Panting and trembling could be caused by the general discomfort from the vomiting episodes, or it can be a result of the pain she's experiencing. Ultimately, if the Galliprant is the cause of the vomiting, obviously discontinuing this medication may be in her best interest even if it is helping with the pain. Other medicatiosn are available to addres pain and inflammation that may result in few side effects. You will need to speak with your primary vet about these findings and possibly schedule another visit if need be. Hope this helps.

My dog is taking 300mg Gabapentin BID along with Galliprant 60mg. In am. He seems to be having increased difficulty with mobility. Can I add 1/2 a 7.5 mg. tablet? He has a torn ACL in his rear hind leg. Because he gas been favoring that leg gets gas
I assume you mean 1/2 of a 7.5 meloxicam tablet. NO. It is an NSAID, as is Galliprant. To give both at the same time would likely result in a gastric ulcer and would put him at risk for kidney failure. For additional pain relief, you could ask your vet if he/she has or can refer you to someone who has a therapeutic laser or the ability to do acupuncture. Thanks for asking Boop by Petco!

My dog (was 26kg, post op 23kg ,9 years old German Shepard cross) has just returned home after a GDV operation done 4 days ago. She was given tramadol 50 mg BD for pain relieve. As she's still not eating voluntarily and showing signs of pain, I crush
That should not be a problem. The only risk is that Tramadol won't be effective. I would recommend to have Gum Gum checked if the signs (pain and inappetence) are not getting any better in the next 12-24hours.
