Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! I would recommend either of the follow backpacks: 1- Zanies Casual Canine Backpack Carrier 2-Wacky Paws Sporty Dog Carrier BackPack 3-Kyjen Front Facing Dog Backpack Carrier Either of these are great for carrying small dogs on walks or hikes!

I would not recommend these for any long periods of time (15mins max) as the posture in the carrier is very different to a normal, standing dog and I would be concerned both about the spine and pressure on internal organs. Dogs should be encouraged to walk and stretch normally in order to maintain bone, muscle and ligament strength and core fitness in order to reduce the risk of injuries

There are different products available online. Here are two websites that you can look at. You also need to look at your airlines specific requirements to make sure the product meets their standards. http://www.pet360.com/product/56464/petego-universal-sport-bag-pet-travel-carrier http://www.pettravelstore.com/petmate-airline-cargo-crate-small/

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Princess and for providing a picture, it's helpful. Yes, it does look like she fits in it, but I am concerned that it may not be high enough for her. You'd like for the carrier to be big enough that the dog can turn around in. I'm not sure if you are planning to take her on a flight; if you are, you should check with the airlines to get their rules around pet transport and the requirements for the dog and the carrier. Best of luck.

A collar and leash would be a great idea! But know that it takes time for puppies to get used to a leash - I just want her to be safe! A small carrier if you do not plan to hold the puppy the whole trip. Usually the breeder will tell you what kind of food that Ginger has been on so you can purchase some ahead of time. If you want to switch the food, gradually mix them together to transition her to the new food over 2-4 weeks. Ask for any records of shots or dewormers that the breeder has given so you can take them to Ginger's first vet appointment. I recommend a checkup with a vet within the first few days to test Ginger for intestinal parasites and any obvious congenital problems (like a heart murmur or abdominal hernia). Some puppies can become car sick, but it should wear off within a few hours of being home. She may also miss her litter mates and be sad for a few days.
