Thank you for using Pet Coach to address your question about Autumn. Generally you try to address dandruff with food or skin supplements first. I recommend the food to be Nutro or Royal Canin as both are geared to ward pets with skin conditions. You can also try adding in a fatty acid supplement to see if that helps. There are also medicated shampoos but most cats don't take kindly to baths. Plus it is only a temporary fix. Try the diet change first. It will be at least a month before you know if it worked. Best of luck!

Thank you for providing a picture of the box and ingredients, it's very helpful. To answer your question, you do have to be careful with this around Salem. It contains xylitol, which is toxic to cats. I would not let him have any licks of it, and if you drink it outside the house, that's fine and he will be safe. I hope this helps!

Ha Ha! Temptations are cat crack!!! I'm always saying this! It is probably partly both. Did your vet give you a special bland diet to feed Shadow? If not, I would try one. I'd pick Purina EN or Royal Canin GI. Either dry or canned - whichever he prefers. https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/itemView/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?productId=113553 https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/itemView/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?productId=113551 https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/itemView/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?productId=114751 Don't force feed him. Typically that just causes a food aversion. I suggest that if he doesn't start eating on his own that you ask your vet about putting in a feeding tube. It sounds drastic but it really isn't. It is an easy way for you to "force feed" him without forcing him..... They can keep the tube in for months.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Smores. If she is interested in the canned food, I would continue to offer that to her. If she will eat the treats, offer these as well. I wouldn't worry about over feeding her at this point, I would just offer her so much as she will eat. Most cats will need to eat around 200 calories per day. I hope this information helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I agree that this is possibly due to allergies. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be the issue then you are left out having to check for environmental allergies which require blood and/or skin
