Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would consider using a different diet. Jacki may be sensitive to that diet. I would recommend you consider any of the Royal canin, Purina or Science Diet puppy foods which would be great options for her. If you ever notice her stools being black, have her evaluated by a veterinarian as sometimes that is seen with gastrointestinal bleeding. Good luck!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is a bit of a mystery but maybe it was from humping something- Just based on locations of the staining. What about a new bed or towel or toy at the facility? Some new fake grass he rubbed on? I don’t see this being a grass stain, it seems too dark. Very weird. Perhaps ask to tour the facility and look around? As far as Leroy’s safety, I suppose it could have been some something toxic but probably not. I’d recommend washing thoroughly with a dog shampoo and watching for any signs of toxicity or irritation (itching, vomiting, tremors, seizures, lethargy). Best of luck to you and Leroy!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. If you are seeing green eye discharge in Chacha's eyes, this could indicate there is a problem such as dry eye, which should be diagnosed / treated by a veterinarian. There is specific treatment for dry eye that you will not find over the counter (Optimmune ointment or Tacrolimus ointment) which helps stimulate tear production. The over the counter products simply lubricate the eyes and do not last long enough. You can try an over the counter dry eye medication for dogs such as OPTIXCARE, which you can find online. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. The sooner you have this looked at the better as dry eye can lead to eye trauma from the lack of lubrication from the tears.

My personal preference, completed unrelated to Boop by Petco or Petco, would be Cosequin ( http://www.cosequin.com/dogs/ ) or Dasuquin ( http://www.dasuquin.com/en/products/#dog ). Both are made by Nutromax Labs.

Yes the saline rinse will help but this sounds like conjunctivitis and it will heal more quickly with an ophthalmic antibiotic. Dogs get conjunctivitis from eye irritation from pollution, pollen, smoke in the air and sometimes from a cold. It is usually a secondary bacterial infection that causes the green discharge and that is why the antibiotics will heal it faster. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for HollyBear.
