Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. Also cats will need to be active and interact with you so make sure you consider this in your rou

I suggest you try some Feliway products. You can even use the spray on your clothes prior to handling or getting near your cat. You can also try some calming treats. https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/comfort-zone-diffuser-with-feliway-for-cats https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/comfort-zone-spray-with-feliway-for-cats https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/vetri-science-composure-feline-bite-sized-chews Just keep in mind you may never get your cat to "like" you. You cannot force the issue. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I really like a product called Feliway which can help reduce stress in situations like this. You may use this product in the environment as a diffuser or you can use the spray in anything that has contact with him. This should help make this move less stressful. Good luck and have a good night!

You can do this, but bring things that smell like Jax's home with you each week so he has a familiar scent. Since it's temporary for now, keep him in his own room with his own food, water, and litter box. This will make it less stressful for him. Once you move in together full time, start introducing him slowly to the other cats and the rest of the home. Best of luck.

Try to replicate their home environment: same food, waterm litter boxes, etc. Feline pheromones, like Feliway, may be useful for anxiety. But really, just gett them into the new home and seeing what happens. You can always message us with any issues that arise so we can troubleshoot!
