So sorry that Jupiter is having this problem. You could try a Feliway diffuser and Solliquin chews and see if that helps relieve any stress and make him happier. You could also talk to your vet about trying an anti-anxiety medication, like Trazodone or Prozac to see if that helps. Hello. If you have the time, you might want to condition Jupiter to the car. If time is limited, placing him in a carrier ( making sure he is comfortable in a carrier ), putting the carrier on the floor & covering the carrier with a light sheet might soothe his anxiety. Not sure whether this is health related but just asking in case i’m doing something wrong. My cat is very hyper, however, when i put her jumper on her she goes straight to sleep and calms down straight away. Is the jumper bad for her?
No, I wouldn't say the jumper is bad for Mars. It could be that she has some anxiety, and that comes out as being very hyper. When you put the jumper on her, the close contact of it makes her feel safer, thus leading to the calming down. There is an item called a Thundershirt that is used for dogs and cats with anxiety, and it is reported to do that same thing in that calms down dogs and cats when upset. The jumper likely has the same effect on Mars. It's fine to use it on her. I hope this helps!

It's great that you want to be prepared for your new kitten! Aside from the obvious things for the kitten like food and water bowls, I'd recommend a tall scratching post and perch. Two litter boxes in different areas of the house are recommended. Canned kitten food (and canned adult cat food as Myla gets older) is preferred over dry food. It is ok to place cat clothing on him to cover the area, but it still should be allowed to have oxygen, so no bandages should be placed. Also you can try feeding a collar through the cone if it is one of the ones that has loops at the base. Best of luck with Alaska and I hope that her sutures stay in place so this can heal properly.
